What type of images are suitable? Landscapes, group photos, school photos, places, buildings, towns, lifestyles, transport, working environments, war or military - but must also be county related as well, we don’t want just any military photo... If you have a good look around the site you’ll get a better idea of what’s acceptable. if you are still unsure just ask us. All photographs should be Pre-1950 … & postcards must be Pre-1935, due to copyright. However if a photograph is just too good to miss, we may use the odd images dated up to 1960. Currently we are only adding Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire images to the library ... you will get the chance to submit images for other counties at a later stage. What type of things are we not interested in? Studio photos, of your Great Aunt Flo.... unless your Great Aunt Flo happens to be Florence Nightingale! See image below, although it is a lovely picture, we simply don’t have the room to allocate space for every single person. Just ask yourself if the image will be of interest to others & then you will realize what we really want for inclusion on the site. |
