The original plan is thought to have been drawn up to aid the investigation or court case that resulted from the Pentrich Revolution in June 1817. Therefore the map dates to around that period. The plan shows the area around Pentrich & even shows were each of the main revolutionaries lived. The map includes South Wingfield, Wingfield Park, Crich, Pentrich, Bull Bridge, Heage, Hartshay, Ripley, Butterley Park & the Ironworks & also Swanwick. If you wish to print a copy of this map off, we advise that you right-click your mouse & ‘Save picture as’ ... choose a suitable folder to save the image to, then afterwards print a copy of the image off, remember to set your printer to print in either ‘landscape’ or ‘portrait’ format depending on the map size.
